Poverty Related Conditions Increase

The number of children with poverty related conditions is on the increase on the Kapiti Coast.

Public health nurse, Shennan Brown, says recently in the area, she has had to deal with a large number of children with advanced cases of school sores, scabies and head lice.

Mrs Brown says there is hard evidence that the earlier cases like these are treated the easier they are to treat, and the Public health Organisations are there to help families in need.
